In the self-serve bay

CustomKraft self-serve equipment, sold and serviced from Fargo

DMI sells CustomKraft self-serve systems built to be customized to the bay, and services the pumps, vending, changers and vacuums that keep a self-serve site running whatever brand put them in.

Chapter 01

CustomKraft: equipment built to fit the bay, not the other way around

CustomKraft self-serve equipment is easily customized to fit the site, not the site to the equipment, which matters on a self-serve bay where every operator's layout and customer mix is a little different. DMI carries the CustomKraft line and backs it with decades of experience behind this equipment, the kind that shows up as fewer surprises once a system is running.

CustomKraft's variable-frequency drive systems lower energy costs while cutting wear on pumps and belts, which is the two-part payoff an operator actually feels: a lower power bill and equipment that lasts longer between rebuilds. Faster delivery of product to the bay keeps the wash running efficiently and keeps customers moving through without a wait at the wand.

The parts of a self-serve bay that fail first, on any brand

A self-serve bay is really several separate systems sharing one stall, and DMI services all of them regardless of who installed the original equipment: pumps, vending, bill and token changers or acceptors, and vacuums. Those are also the parts that see the most cycles in a day, so they are the parts most likely to need attention first.

That is where the monthly visit earns its keep. Our salespeople visit our regular customers every month, and we are the only provider in this market that offers that. A set of eyes on the bay once a month catches a sticking token acceptor or a pump starting to lose pressure before it turns into a bay that is down over a weekend.

Chapter 03

Taking cards, and keeping a bay running through a Fargo winter

Credit card systems make it easy for customers to pay, and they are consistently DMI's most requested self-serve add-on for exactly that reason: customers who do not have to hunt for cash or tokens use the bay more. Fitting one onto an existing bay is a common upgrade rather than a full equipment swap.

"More runtime, less maintenance" is not a slogan here, it is what a Fargo winter demands. Cold snaps are hard on pumps, belts and hoses, and a bay that is down in January costs more in lost wash cycles than the same downtime in July. DMI's Fargo warehouse and next-day parts delivery exist for that reason: call (701) 237-6606 and a real part ships the next day rather than a week later.
