Belanger FreeStyler soft-touch automatics, sold and serviced from Fargo
The FreeStyler is Belanger's in-bay soft-touch automatic, built around an overhead gantry instead of a floor rail. DMI sells, installs and services it for wash operators across the Tri-State.
Chapter 01
An overhead gantry instead of a floor rail
Most of what fails on an in-bay automatic over a Fargo winter starts at the floor. A rail-mounted system drags its carriage along a track set into the bay floor, and that track is exactly where salt, grit and meltwater collect and freeze. Belanger built the FreeStyler around an overhead gantry instead, so the carriage travels on a rail above the vehicle rather than one embedded in the concrete.
Belanger calls the result Open Clear Bay design: an open, inviting bay with nothing running along the floor for ice and dirt to jam. Beyond eliminating that failure point, the overhead layout gives smoother carriage travel and reduces the chance of a customer misjudging where to stop, both of which Belanger built into the system's core design rather than adding on later.

The wash hardware: arms, wheels and the Wheel Stinger
Air-over-oil arm controls give the FreeStyler smooth, contoured wheel movement that follows a vehicle's actual body line, which Belanger designed to protect paint and mirrors while still washing the full panel. Dual directional rear side wheels move independently to minimize vehicle contact and clean more of the surface on each pass.
The patented Deluxe Wheel Stinger tackles wheels and rocker panels directly, with nineteen strategically positioned high-impact nozzles built into the wheel washer. A counter-weight top wheel design adds breakaway forgiveness, so a vehicle that sits taller or lower than expected doesn't take the impact a fixed guillotine-style wheel would deliver.
Chapter 03
Branding options, onboard controls, and who keeps it running
A FreeStyler can be dressed to match a facility's branding with either the Styler to Go or Premium Styler exterior color package, so the equipment matches a wash's signage and canopy instead of arriving in one stock finish. Onboard components sit concealed behind side and back panels, with carriage controls at hand for fast, fingertip adjustments from inside the bay rather than a trip to a back-room panel.
Belanger builds the drive side with variable frequency drives and gearboxes chosen for a longer service life and lower running cost over the system's lifespan. DMI stocks FreeStyler parts out of the Fargo warehouse and services the line across the Tri-State, and our salespeople visit regular customers monthly so wear on those drives and nozzles gets caught before it becomes a Saturday outage.
